The taboos around female sexuality are ubiquitous. Women should be the desired and not the desiring.

As a result of this oppressive, guilt inducing attitude, many women lack agency over their sexuality & believe that sex is exclusively for men.

But sex is for women too. And you don’t have to be in a relationship to enjoy it either. #FriendWithBenefits #Fun

Women learn the downside: pain, pregnancy, STI’s. Some women tell me that “if they never have sex again, it will be too soon.” Others? Tired. Something is missing.

Education for female pleasure is sorely lacking. It’s important for women to understand the physiological response to sexual desire.

The linear model developed by Masters and Johnson in their sex lab in the 1950’s is excitement, plateau, orgasm & resolution.

During the arousal phase, the clitoris enlarges, the vagina expands, blood vessels dilate. Heart rate, blood pressure & breathing increases.

Plateau, congestion & tightening of the vagina. Orgasm is a powerful feeling of pleasure & sensation with release of accumulated erotic tension. There’s nothing like it.

Mindfulness can enhance enjoyment of this process. There’s power in the pleasure.

So enjoy it & be on your way.

Sex is for you too, ladies.
