Menopause is a natural transition in a woman’s life and the culprit is withdrawal of estrogen. Menopause (and peri-menopause) is what the female body goes through when the level of estrogen gradually or dramatically decreases.

Estrogen is the hormone regulator of every organ in a woman’s body from her skin (the largest organ), the brain (the largest sex organ), heart, and vagina. This creates a hormone imbalance and, thus, the symptoms associated with this lowering of estrogen.  This is why women experience hot flashes, dry hair and skin, heart palpitations, mood changes, vaginal dryness, etc..
