Recently on LinkedIn, I posted this video about why I recommend Gynatrof Gynatrof for vaginal dryness and a doctor as “Why Gynatrof over Osphena?”
Osphena is approved by the FDA for moderate to painful sex vs Gynatrof which is approved by Health Canada for vaginal Dryness/Vaginal Atrophy (VA). Many women who are not sexually active may still indeed experience dryness or VA and require treatment. Gynatrof treats vaginal dryness. Also Osphena is taken orally and Gynatrof is a topical treatment; a local personal moisturizer/lubricant.
Osphena is only available by prescription whereby Gynatrof is over the counter and therefore no prescription is needed. Gynatrof is available on the shelves of London Drugs and Shopper’s Drug Mart in Canada so no need for that embarrassing conversation with a male pharmacist about your vaginal dryness, ladies. Phew, right? Although I recommend women have a conversation about their vaginal dryness with their doctors, women can actually begin treatment for their vaginal dryness on their own which is just so empowering. Just be sure and let your doctor know.
Additionally, since Osphena acts like estrogen, it may increase a woman’s risk of cancer of the lining of the uterus, stroke and/or blood clots. Other side effects may occur such as headaches, hot flashes, vaginal discharge, muscles spasms and sweating with Osphena. Since Gynatrof is all natural, there are no side effects. Because it is a lubricant in addition to being a personal moisturizer, it can be used during sex until treatment is optimized which is about 8 weeks. Gynatrof contains Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E which helps to keep vaginal tissues moist and elastic. As I say, it’s just as important to moisturizer your vagina as it is your face! So get back to the bedroom, ladies with Gynatrof!
Gynatrof is available at London Drugs or Shopper’s Drug Mart and many other pharmacies across Canada.
