In case you missed the Sunday Night Health show here’s my BioDiet Journey update:

  1. Sugar gone (except for that one glass of wine last night which was for the alcohol & sleep segment #wink)
  2. I went too fast & did No carbs – threw myself into “keto flu’ (weak, dizzy & low BP) so Thursday, I had to take my own BP. Some nurse.
  3. Lost 5 lbs (all fluid, of course)
  4. 1 inch off waist, 1/2 in from hips (Woot! Woot!)
  5. Loving grass-fed butter (love handles remain sorry to say)

Week 2 of Biodiet for Health & Weight loss

  1. Planning/commitment -key
  2. Eliminate high glycemic index foods
  3. List of glycemic indices for fruits and vegetables available in book & from https://www.biodiet.org/

What to eliminate (Kitchen detox):

  1. Assuming all sweets and cookies have already been eliminated in week 1.
  2. Breads, bagels & muffins
  3. Pasta & noodles (other than keto-friendly noodles)
  4. Cereals (inc porridge)
  5. All Potatoes
  6. Replace starches with healthy fats
  7. Kitchen restock (what to have on hand)
  8. Vegetables that grow above the ground
  9. High-fat dairy
  10. Protein sources
  11. Healthy fats (inc fish oil supplements)
  12. Nuts & seeds
  13. Almond butter
  14. Berries
