NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. We all experience them.
They come & go. We’re not tall enough, smart enough, rich enough or thin enough. Why couldn’t I do that? Why didn’t I get that promotion? How come he ghosted me or why didn’t she turn up?
Or he/she won’t have sex with me because I am not good enough. Or not sexy enough. Or good enough in bed. I am here to tell you.
YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH. YOU ARE ENOUGH. YOU ARE.
YOU. ENOUGH.
Negative thoughts may threaten your self-esteem & your mood & this impacts your relationships negatively. If you constantly tell yourself that you’re not good enough, or that you’re stupid, you’ll begin to believe it & worse, internalize it.
Beating yourself up can lead to depression & anxiety.
Why do you do this? It may result from your dysfunctional upbringing, your people pleasing personality or trauma.
What Can You Do About It? A spoonful of sugar….or be aware that you have these thoughts. Awareness goes a long way. You are not having negative thoughts on purpose.
So, step 1 is learning how to realize when you’re having these thoughts so you’re able to stop.
Step 2 Write down your negative thoughts, reframe them, invoke gratitude & try to figure out other ways of thinking.
You decide what you think in every situation.
